Over the last month, we have created numerous posts about 48Hour Launch. So, to make it easier on everyone, we've aggregated the most important information into this one post.

Register: First and foremost, here's where you register. You are welcome to register at the door, but it really helps us with food/drink orders if you register ahead of time!

Date: There are three events involved with 48Hour Launch:

  1. Pitch Night- We had over 60 people come out to listen to the 19 pitches on April 1st. You can find the pitches posted below.
  2. 48Hour Launch Weekend- April 8th, 6PM - April 10th, 6PM
  3. Demo Night- April 10th- 6PM, demos begin at 6:30PM

Place: Here's a quick video tour of the Industrial YMCA on the Southside (future site of BaseCamp Chattanooga). We've heard a lot of great stories about the "old Y" and this will be the first time the building will be open to the public in 20ish years! The building will not be fully renovated yet, but we'll have exclusive access for the whole weekend.

Pitch: While Pitch Night has passed, your chance to have your idea worked on has not! Everyone's had an idea for a mobile app or web service at some point...so take advantage of your opportunity to test the merit of your concept and maybe even put a team together to build your dream! If you did not pitch at Pitch Night, you won't be eligible for the $5,000 cash prize, but we'd still love to have you!

Check out the videos of those who did present on pitch night. Which team will you work with?

People: The idea is to build a product or service and launch it by the end of the weekend, so you'll need people with mad skills to help. You are welcome to bring your own team or build it at the beginning of the weekend. Here are a few of the main kinds of people we'd love to see there:

Entrepreneurs, Web/Mobile Developers, Designers, Writers, Project Managers, Angel/VC Investors, Attorneys, Accountants, Video Producers, Photographers, PR/Marketing Strategists, and More!

Prize: $5,000 for the winning concept. In order to be eligible for the cash prize:

  1. The concept must have been pitched at Pitch Night on April 1st.
  2. The final product or service must have a working demo that COULD be used by a customer.
  3. The product or service will be judged on its attractiveness as an investment from a panel of start-up investors and entrepreneurs.

Cost: We'll be providing all the food, coffee, candy...beer (!) that you'll need for the weekend. Your registration fee helps us to cover costs and gets you in the door and a spot at the table for the whole weekend!

Participant fee- $40

Student fee- $25
